Awarding of the Mustafa Prize to Three Distinguished Scientists of the Islamic World
The Sixth Mustafa Prize Award Ceremony was held on Monday, 8 September 2015, with the presence of Prof. Mohammad Reza Mokhber Dezfouli, President of the Academy of Sciences of IR Iran; Prof. Ali Akbar Salehi, Head of the Mustafa Prize Scientific Working Group; Eng. Mehdi Saffarinia, Chief Executive Officer of the Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation; and Prof. Mohammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of the Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
 
The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Hossein Afshin, Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy; Hojatoleslam Abdolhossein Khosropanah, Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution; as well as a distinguished gathering of scholars and technologists from across the Islamic world.
 
In 2025, the Mustafa Prize was awarded to three eminent scientists: Prof. Mehmet Toner from Turkey, Prof. Vahab Mirrokni from Iran, and Prof. Mohammad Khaja Nazeeruddin from India.
