<div></div> <div>The Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution convened a meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi on August 1, 2023. Initially, 15 of the most distinguished scientists in various fields of sciences were appointed as the fellows of the Academy.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>The Academy of Sciences officially started its activity in 1990, and the late Prof. Ali Shariatmadari, professor of Tarbiat Moalem University of Tehran, was the first president of the Academy until 1998. In 1998, Prof. Reza Davari Ardakani, a distinguished professor of the University of Tehran and fellow of the Academy, was elected as the president of the Academy and served in this position for 25 years.
