<div></div> <div>Chaired by Prof. Reza Davari Ardakani, the 135th meeting of the General Assembly (GA) of the Academy was held on Thursday, July 6th.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>At the beginning, Prof. Davari congratulated Prof. Jawad Faiz and Prof. Mohammad Reza Mokhber Dezfouli, fellows of the Academy, for being awarded the title of distinguished professor of the University of Tehran and wished them continued success.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>Following the approval of the previous meeting's minutes, Prof. Reza Faraji Dana, the secretary of the Academy and the secretary of the GA, gave details on the issues raised in the meetings of the last decade of the Assembly.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>Afterwards, Prof. Hamid Reza Pooretemad, the new fellow of the Academy, delivered a speech entitled "Intelligent Systems in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Neuro-Developmental Disorders". Then, the president of the Academy awarded him the order of the fellow membership of the Academy.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>At the end of the meeting, Prof. Ali Akbar Salehi, vice-president for research and deputy president of the Academy, gave a report on the formation of think tanks and their working groups in the vice-presidency of the Academy and listed their most important activities. His speech was followed by a discussion and exchange of views on the activities of think tanks. Finally, it was agreed that the members of the GA would study the draft regulation compiled for the establishment of think tanks. In the next meetings of the GA, they will exchange opinions on the topic and make decision.</div> <div></div> <div> </div>
