<div></div> <div>The Nobel Prize in Physics in 2022 went to three physicists named John Clauser, Alian Aspect and Anton Zeilinger, due to their achievements in the field of quantum sciences and technologies. For this purpose, Dr. Amin Babazadeh was invited by the Quantum Technologies Think Tank of the Vice-Presidency for Research of the Academy to deliver an online lecture on the Nobel Prize in Physics and Developments in Quantum Technologies.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>Dr. Babazadeh is a graduate of Zanjan Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences and is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Zeilinger's Group at the University of Vienna. In his speech, presented on Wednesday, December 21, Dr. Babazadeh discussed the development of quantum sciences and technologies in the last century with the article and the EPR paradox (Einstein, Podolsky and Rosen) and enumerated the researches and experiments that led to the awarding of this year’s Nobel Prize to three quantum physicists. He considered quantum computing, quantum clock, quantum cryptography, quantum imaging and quantum sensors to be the five major areas of quantum technologies and listed their latest technological developments and more narrowly commercialized ones.
