<div> </div> <div></div> <div>On Monday, June 28, 2021, the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the Academy held a webinar on the Soil Security. The scientific secretary of the webinar was Prof. Seyed Ali Abtahi, chairman of the Division of Soil Sciences of the Department and the keynote speaker was Prof. Farhad Khormali, professor at Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and also the invited scholar of the Academy. The webinar was attended by 96 faculty members of universities and research organizations, authorities, specialists and experts in soil sciences as well as agriculture and natural resources public and private section and members of the Department.</div> <div></div> <div>At the beginning of the event, Prof. Abbas Sharifi Tehrani, chairman of the Department, welcomed the guests and gave an account of the activities of the Department and its numerous academic lectures and conferences held during the past years. He mentioned that, “This event is the first scientific gathering of the Department in 2021, which has been planned by the members of the Division and under the management of Prof. Abtahi.”</div> <div></div> <div>Then, Prof. Abtahi explained the topic of the webinar and the meeting continued with Prof. Khormali’s lecture. At the end, the guests expressed their views on the topic.</div> <div></div> <div>After summarizing the presentation and the comments and views expressed, a statement will be issued by the Department.</div>
