Although many of Avicenna’s works have been lost, the works that have remained are so magnificent that the observer is amazed. What should the world and even we do with these works now? One may think that Avicenna and his works belong to the past and do not work today. Indeed, the philosopher can tell us what tools are necessary and suitable to reach any destination and objective. </div> <div></div> <div>Avicenna has given the lessons of health and treatment of diseases in “The Cannon of Medicine” and has instructed ritual of wisdom in “The Book of Healing” and “Remarks and Admonitions’. Any lesson of wisdom belonging to any time, any race or any land is always welcome. Avicenna’s works are now taught at universities and especially in some academic-religious fields. This is good but not enough. Rather, we must know the result of this teaching and acquaintance with the views of Avicenna. I wish we could bridge between the past, the present and the future and ask Avicenna how he sees the world and the present life and what he teaches us to be in it.</div> <div></div> <div>Philosophy has two dimensions: an instructive and educational dimension, and a spiritual and guiding dimension for the wisdom of the time. These two dimensions are interwoven. In his works, Avicenna has brought more affinity and made more compromise between philosophical wisdom and religious understanding. He has had a definite impact on the foundation of the systems of religious wisdom and rational religion. This is one of the reasons why he is a lasting figure in history.</div> <div></div> <div> </div>
