<div> </div> <div></div> <div>Prof. Reza Tavakoli Moghaddam, associate fellow of the Academy, professor of the School of Industrial Engineering, University of Tehran, received Order of Academic Palms (Ordre des Palmes académiques), an order of the Government of France awarded to distinguished scientific figures.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>The first Order of Academic Palms was instituted in 1808 and was only awarded to the eminent professors of the University of Paris. Since 1866, this order has been also presented to non-French personalities who have made substantial efforts to expand the scientific relationship between their country and France. </div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>On October 4th, 1955, at the time of President Rene Coty’s presidency, a few changes were made to the procedure for awarding the above order and the selection of individuals was assigned to the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. </div> <div></div> <div> </div>
