<div></div> <div>The Scientific Council of the Academy held its 489th meeting on April 28th. The Council members who attended this meeting were as follows: Profs. Davari Ardakani, Namazi, Mohaghegh Damad, Sohrabpour, Sharifi Tehrani, Nadalian and Shahedi.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>Prof. Davari Ardakani began by welcoming the Scientific Council members and wishing them and the departments of the Academy success in their academic pursuits.</div> <div></div> <div>Following the ratification of the previous meeting's minutes, the participants discussed and resolved on the topics listed below:</div> <div></div> <div>- The nomination of the members of the Academy for membership in the 15 working groups of the Special Board on Developing the National Report of Floods</div> <div>- The final report of the research project on "Pathology of Iran's Higher Education Policy-Making Structure and Process in Respect of Sustainable Economic Development"</div> <div>- The extension of the cooperation of two invited scholars with the Department of Engineering Sciences and four invited scholars with the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the Academy</div> <div></div> <div>Finally, the proposed program for the upcoming meetings of the Academy "developed by the Office of the President" was ratified.</div>
