<div> </div> <div></div> <div>The Department of Veterinary Sciences of the Academy held a one-day seminar on the Current Status of Brucellosis at the Academy's Conference Room on February 27th.</div> <div></div> <div>The audience included the secretary; chairman, fellows and associate fellows of the Department; a number of members of other scientific departments of the Academy and university academics.</div> <div>At first, Prof. Mohammad-Gholi Nadalian, chairman of the Department, welcomed the audience and emphasized the importance of Brucellosis disease which is common between humans and animals.</div> <div>Then the following six lectures were delivered:</div> <div>- Discussion on Brucellosis (An Important Infectious Disease in Iran), Prof. Hassan Tadjbakhsh</div> <div>- Years of Experiences in the Field of Human Brucellosis in Iran, Dr. Seyed Mostafa Poortaghavi</div> <div>- Human Brucellosis in Iran, Dr. Farshid Rezaei</div> <div>- Key Points about Animal Brucellosis, Dr. Mohsen Meshkat</div> <div>- Status of Animal Brucellosis in Iran, Dr. Karim Amiri</div> <div>- Role of Vaccination in Control and Prevention of Brucellosis in Iran, Dr. Saeed Alamian</div>
