<div></div> <div>On February 28th, the Academy held the 5th Future Day Ceremony. In this event the focus was on "The Necessity of Foresight in the Decision Making System".</div> <div></div> <div>The attendees comprised Prof. Reza Davari Ardakani, president of the Academy; Prof. Saeed Namaki, Minister of Health and Medical Education; a number of fellows and associate fellows of the Academy; professors, postgraduate students and interested people.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>At the beginning of the ceremony, Prof. Reza Davari Ardakani and Prof. Saeed Namaki delivered speeches on "Foresight in the Health System". This was followed by a video congratulation message presented by the director of the UN Millennium Project.</div> <div></div> <div>The meeting continued with the following presentations:</div> <div></div> <div>Future of Iran Economy with Respect to the Sanctions, Prof. Farshad Momeni</div> <div></div> <div>Decision Making and Foresight: Two Innate Human Duties, Prof. Abbas Maleki</div> <div></div> <div>Foresight Program of other Countries and International Successful Experiences, Prof. Fathollah Moztarzadeh</div> <div></div> <div>The Significance of the Role of Academies in Foresight, Prof. Hassan Zohoor</div> <div></div> <div>Finally, Prof. Mohsen Bahrami chaired a round-table on "Defining Iran National Foresight Model" and the participants and lecturers exchanged views.</div>
