<div></div> <div>Prof. Saeed Sohrabpour, fellow and chairman of the Department of Engineering Sciences of the Academy, has been elected as a foreign member of the US National Academy of Engineering for his efforts in establishing the Sharif University of Technology as an academic center of excellence and advancing engineering and science education in Iran.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>Prof. Sohrabpour is a distinguished professor of mechanical engineering at Sharif University of Technology. He was the president of the University during 1997- 2010. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, University of California, Berkeley. Prof. Sohrabpour is also recognized as a Lasting Personality of Iran in Engineering.</div>
