<div>Ebadollah Mahmoodian, professor of Sharif University of Technology, received the International Behzad Award from the Iranian Mathematical Society.</div> <div></div> <div>The award was granted to Prof. Mahmoodian in August which coincided with the 49th Annual Iranian Mathematics Conference held on August 23-26, 2018 at the Iran University of Science and Technology.</div> <div></div> <div> </div> <div></div> <div>Behzad Award is granted annually for outstanding leadership roles in the advancement of mathematics to those who are active in the establishment or management of instrumental institutions for the advancement of mathematics; publishing or managing of periodic or non-periodic journals related to the development and popularization of mathematics; institutionalizing the culture of authorship, translation, word formation and publishing enduring mathematical articles; organizing or managing mathematics contests at the national or international level.</div>
