The farewell and introduction ceremony for the former and new heads of the Iran Studies Foundation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, in the presence of the First Vice President.
According to the Public Relations and Information Department of the Academy of Sciences, the introduction ceremony of Dr. Ali Akbar Salehi as the new President of the Iranology Foundation and the honoring of Dr. Mohammad Hossein Rajabidavani, the former President of this complex, will be held on Tuesday, March 11, in the Mohtasham Kashani Hall of the Iranology Foundation, in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Reza Aref, First Vice President, and other scientific, cultural, and political figures.
Dr. Ali Akbar Salehi, the new President of the Iranology Foundation, was appointed to this position after being elected in the 914th session of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution by a decree issued by President Masoud Pezzekian.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Presidency of the Atomic Energy Organization, the Presidency of Sharif University of Technology, membership in the Board of Trustees of the Iranology Foundation and the Great Islamic Encyclopedia Center, the Deputy for Research and the Deputy Director of the Academy of Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran, are some of Dr. Salehi's past responsibilities and positions since the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The Iranology Foundation is a scientific and research institution that was established in 1997 by the late Dr. Hassan Habibi, under the supervision of the Iranian Presidency. The foundation's main headquarters is located in Tehran; and it has active branches in more than twenty-three provinces of the country.
